An opportunity is available for a Team Support based at our Plant Centre in Huthwaite. This role requires good communication, organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Responsibilities
- Prepare material plant issue forms to ensure projects are charged correctly and inventory control accurately records stock movements.
- Raise capital and revenue projects/orders and monitor associated expenditure.
- Record and monitor the calibration of tools and lifting equipment, specifically Lloyds British and Acutest schedules; update Crown with appropriate information.
- Record staff holidays and training records.
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Coordinate the team's response to network faults.
- Respond to customer enquiries verbally and in writing.
- Assist the Team Manager with work programming.
- Input data into the appropriate database to support the Plant Centre Team.
- Assist other team members as required.
- Manage supplier and contractor queries.
- Arrange and schedule transport deliveries of finished goods to all network depots.
- Record all quality issues, liaise with supplier quality teams, and arrange and monitor returns.
- Arrange and record the collection of scrap metals and scrap SF6 equipment.
- Monitor and order general office and miscellaneous engineering materials as required.
Qualifications
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above OR Functional Skills Level 2 or above (evidence required prior to appointment).
- Basic knowledge of plant and equipment used on the network (advantageous).
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
- Reliable, well-organised and capable of working as part of a small team using own initiative.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal customers, suppliers and other NGED teams.
- Subject to a satisfactory Barring Service (DBS) check.
