At National Grid, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Project Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Asset Operations business. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplined development team who are responsible for all the steps before a project goes into delivery and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Cyber Security investments. We are flexible on your base location, offering hybrid working a mix of home, office, and site.
Responsibilities
- Lead the scheme team during pre‑construction phases, ensuring timely stakeholder engagement and agreement on investment selections.
- Align project activities with National Grid’s Security Risk Framework and corporate Cyber Security Strategy.
- Develop optimal, efficient, and safe solutions while adhering to CDM Regulations and SHESQ considerations.
- Conduct site assessments, cost estimations, and support the tendering process to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to monitor and control the portfolio of Cyber investments, providing accurate financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant experience.
- Proven pre‑construction experience including time, cost, set up, optioneering and risk management.
- Proficiency in CDM, Health.
