This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) business as a Project Management Office Assistant, where you’ll help shape and steer the delivery of a £120 million digital investment portfolio. Based at Warwick, in office 2 - 3 days required.
In this role, you’ll gain exposure to enterprise-scale programmes, collaborate with senior stakeholders—including ET and Group Executive teams—and play a vital part in building governance, performance, and insight for transformative change. You’ll be a central part of the NGET Asset Operations Digital team, helping to grow our delivery capability, improve visibility across platforms, and provide expert insight to support strategic decision-making. Your work will empower leadership to act confidently, backed by accurate data and robust performance intelligence.
Support end-to-end project execution by coordinating timelines, milestones, and resources, while maintaining documentation, dashboards, and standardised templates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, manage task tracking in tools like JIRA, and facilitate the adoption of PMO best practices. Monitor project risks, escalate issues, and contribute to KPI analysis and retrospectives. Additionally, assist in identifying and implementing process improvements, tools, and workflows to enhance overall project delivery and operational efficiency.
Must Haves:
- Experience of supporting Project Management or Operations preferably in Utilities, Tech, Digital.
- A proven track record in process and performance improvement, using data to drive meaningful outcomes.
- Experience with project management tools - MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence, reporting tools - Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders, understanding their needs and managing expectations.
Desirable:
- IT PMO experience.
Pay and Benefits:
- A competitive salary up to £38,481 pa + Training and Development.
- 26 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days.
- 37 Hours Monday - Friday.
