Do you thrive on problem-solving, juggling priorities, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes? Are you someone who loves turning complex schedules into well-oiled plans? If so, this could be the perfect role for you! This role can be based within a commutable distance of St Johns Wood, Elstree, Bexley, Barking or Addlestone with travel to other sites as required.
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Operations Scheduling Assistant to support our Operational Planning team. In this role, you’ll help shape and deliver the operational plan, ensuring work is resourced, scheduled, and completed to meet targets — keeping our projects on track and our teams supported. In this role, you’ll help manage a rolling plan of operational, unlicensed, and capital works within the 0–1-year timeframe.
You’ll support the Planning Engineer with updates and changes, while working closely with Operations Managers, Engineers, and Project Leaders to keep schedules on track and resources in place. From coordinating outages and routine work to raising work orders and supporting day-to-day planning actions, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll also look for smart ways to bundle tasks together, helping us work more efficiently, while ensuring compliance, safety, and delivery across our London substations.
Requirements
- Knowledge of operational planning processes and systems.
- A knack for prioritising, multitasking, and adapting quickly to changes.
- Microsoft Office including PowerBI.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to keep plans on track, even in a fast-paced operational environment.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with colleagues across different teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- £47,313 to £52,688 pa including London Allowance + Bonus + Contribution Pension total up to 18%.
- 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday
- 26 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days.
