We have an Operator (Stores) role based in Midsomer Norton. The position involves routine inspection, maintenance and repair of tools and PPE, assisting in the maintenance of stores, and inspection of network assets as required. All necessary training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • English and Maths GCSE (1-9/G‑A*) or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level, such as Functional Skills. Evidence of qualifications is required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of tools and PPE.
  • Assist with the maintenance of stores.
  • Inspect network assets as required.
  • Work quickly, decisively, and responsibly to meet the demands of the role.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support the team in achieving objectives.

Desired Skills and Requirements

  • Valid license to drive an LGV up to category C.
  • Certified to drive a Fork Lift Truck.
  • Able to work under own initiative in a safety‑critical environment.
  • Mobile throughout the area and able to undertake out‑of‑hours standby duties as necessary.
  • Will be subject to a satisfactory Barring Service (DBS) check; some roles may require a tri‑annual check.
