National Grid is hiring a Manager, Stakeholder Engagement for Massachusetts. Hybrid. Ability to travel throughout our service territory for critical meetings where face to face interaction is of high value.
Job Purpose
Recruit, develop, retain and manage a team to serve as the New England lead on equity, language access, and environmental justice with a focus on:
• Operationalizing the company’s framework in New England as it relates to regulatory policy and commitments around equity
• Drafting policies and practices that ensure equity considerations are integrated into the relevant parts of the business, including project planning and development
• Crafting tools to ensure customers and communities can easily understand upcoming projects and initiatives
• Appraising outreach efforts to ensure readability and language access for stakeholders
• Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders to identify community needs
• Identifying \”hard to reach\” communities and tailoring outreach efforts to enhance engagement
• Designing and delivering training for employees about equity policies and regulations
• Providing distribution, procedural, structural, and impact analysis as needed
• Maintaining compliance with any regulatory requirements and providing support for regulatory dockets and mandated reporting
• Reviewing best practices and adjusting company policies accordingly
Key Accountabilities
• Experience with equity initiatives
• Familiarity with laws and regulations pertaining to environmental justice
• Strong external engagement, task management and organizational skills, including the ability to build consensus, and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills and the ability to write reports and develop presentations for internal and external senior leaders
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history required
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public policy, business, law, government, social science, human resources or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in the energy industry or a field related to public engagement
• Previous management experience preferred

Salary – $142,000 – $167,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
