About the role

Climate change is the biggest challenge facing our generation and we need to deliver a cleaner, greener, energy system to support the UK's 2050 net zero target. As a Senior Information Manager, you'll be responsible for implementing new ways of working within a portfolio of onshore projects. You'll focus on embedding required standards, methods, procedures and requirements set out in NGSI Onshore EIR, Project Information Standard and Information Production Methods and Procedures. The role also supports evolution of and further definition of new requirements and processes align to Information Management roadmap.

You'll be responsible for driving adoption of Common Data Environment within Client Project delivery organisation, supporting Project delivery partners in clarifying and implementing Client information framework requirements. The role interfaces with NG Project teams, NG Asset Information Team and other internal NG SI stakeholders involved in supporting project delivery as well as information management teams (BIM, GIS, IM) within delivery partner organisations to drive consistent delivery and adoption of new ways of working.

You'll be responsible for overseeing compliance of information delivery in line with client standards, manage other information professionals, engage with suppliers to provide direction and agree any changes throughout delivery lifecycle. In this role you can enjoy hybrid working with regular in-person visits at our project offices (Midlands, Wales, London).

Key accountabilities

  • Support development of Asset Information Requirements (AIR) and Project Information Requirements.
  • Work in support of Onshore IM Team in liaising with existing or newly started projects (including incumbent suppliers where applicable) to understand existing standards and requirements to plan and oversee transition from legacy to new ways of working and digital delivery governance.
  • Oversee roll out and adoption of Project CDE systems within Client project delivery teams, including delivering training and guidance for Autodesk Construction Cloud(ACC) and Project SharePoint CDE components.
  • Ensure adoption and compliant use of Project CDE systems across project delivery teams.
  • Maintain ACC and CDE Access model for a project and oversee implementation of changes with the CDE administrators.
  • Review and accept BIM Execution Plan for the project and liaise GIS and BIM specialists to ensure compliant application, resolve issues and agree changes.

About you

  • Significant experience acting as Project Information Manager as related to ISO 19650 on major projects, including client-side support and roles.
  • Significant IM experience and application of ISO 19650 Information Management framework on projects, including definition of information requirements for asset lifecycle.
  • Significant experience in implementing CDE and new ways of working in project delivery organisation.
  • Excellent understanding of quality management systems and implementing processes related to ISO 19650 on Common Data Environments, along with MIDP and TIDP production and management.
  • The ability to define requirements and processes for configuration of Common Data Environment Systems.
  • A collaborative, open-minded approach with a strong sense of shared team purpose.
  • The ability to drive improvement in a technically complex and fast-changing environment.
  • An understanding of enterprise IM systems used within energy transmission infrastructure would be desirable.

A competitive salary between £61,000 - £78,000 – dependent on capability.
