Responsibilities
In this role you'll assist colleagues on a variety of casework across the property team relating to capital projects and property management. You'll maintain electronic record systems, deal with incoming enquiries, and communicate verbally and in writing to landowners, landlords and a wide range of external stakeholders. Reporting to the Consents Manager you'll be responsible for ensuring rent payments are made on time, collating information, preparing plans, assisting with bespoke reports and presentations as well as a range of other administration tasks. You will deliver excellent customer service, ensure the Company’s property rights are protected, and continually question costs and take action to improve efficiency.

- A working understanding of property principles, related legislation and its relevance to the activities of the department.
- Ability to interpret legal documents.
- Negotiation skills consistent with the requirements of the role, with the ability to gain the best deal for the Company.
- Excellent oral and presentation skills with the ability to persuade, convince and influence others.
- Ability to work within a team environment and flexibility to assist colleagues in all of the teams within Electricity Distribution Property.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports, correspondence to customers, land agents, solicitors, local authorities and external stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce it in a clear and logical format.
- An awareness of the importance of well‑structured data to form the basis of analysis and conclusions.

Location & Working Hours
Preferably the role will be based in Castle Donnington, but other NGED locations may be considered. The role offers a mix of office and home working as part of a hybrid working approach, subject to initial training completion and business need.
