About the role

At National Grid Interconnectors, we're at the heart of the UK's transition to a net zero energy future.

Our growing portfolio of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) interconnectors connects the UK to some of its closest neighbours, helping to import and export electricity, strengthen energy security, and support the delivery of cleaner, greener energy.

As we continue to expand our interconnector network and develop new projects, we're looking for a

Contract Support Analyst to join our UJV Operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the contracts and supply chain activities that keep our interconnectors operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Working within the Contract Management team, you'll help ensure that the right contracts, suppliers, and commercial arrangements are in place to meet operational requirements and minimise business risk.

You'll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across a matrix organisation, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term business objectives.

This role offers excellent exposure to contract management, supplier engagement, commercial processes, and operational delivery within a business that is helping shape the future of energy.

The role is hybrid with our base office in Warwick or alternatively if you are closer to our IFA2 site in Fareham you can work from there as well as from home.

What you'll do

  • Support the management of operational supply chain contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Assist with the development of scopes of work and requirements for tendering activities.
  • Identify and elevate commercial and contractual risks where appropriate.
  • Support contract administration activities, including preparing payment certificates and drafting formal contract communications.
  • Coordinate and supporting supply chain compliance audits.
  • Assist with cost control activities and management reporting.
  • Act as Technical Secretary for supplier and contract management meetings, including recording actions and maintaining documentation.
  • Support the administration of contract management systems and associated records.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders and invoices.
  • Maintain supply chain risk registers and monitoring mitigation actions.
  • Support the contract management team by keeping delivery plans, schedules, and programmes up to date.
  • Prepare reports and presenting information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
  • What you'll need

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and able to build strong working relationships across multiple teams.

You’ll ideally have

  • An understanding of contract management principles and supplier relationship management.
  • Knowledge of commercial processes, compliance monitoring, and risk management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to analyse information and produce clear, concise reports.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Teams.
  • It would be great if you had;
  • Experience working within contract, commercial, procurement, or supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of contract management or invoicing processes.
  • Experience using systems such as Coupa or other purchasing and payment platforms.
  • Experience supporting operational or engineering organisations.
  • What you'll get
  • A competitive salary between

£40,706.00 - £44,297.50 per annum - dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.

You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
