Lead Project Manager in England

This is the time for action - we need to move at pace and reform our energy system - to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people. This is a chance to help make Net Zero happen by leading delivery on the Brinsworth to High Marnham project, which will upgrade the existing 275 kV overhead lines between Brinsworth, Chesterfield and High Marnham.

As a Lead Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end development, sanctioning and delivery of a major project, driving progress against time, cost and technical requirements in line with the Network Development Process. This is a high-impact role where your leadership will directly influence successful outcomes across a complex EPC environment. Your role will be to manage EPC projects to time and budget, achieving key milestones along the way. You will use your expertise to lead delivery effectively, and the lessons learned from your work will be shared across the wider business.

You'll also lead the way in ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are embedded at every stage, while delivering against regulatory obligations and meeting stakeholder and customer commitments. This role is based in Chesterfield and is Variable Based. You will be expected to travel to 2-3 times a week operational and delivery sites and locations throughout your working week based on project demands.

• Quickly getting projects back on track if they slow down, mindful that any slippages will adversely affect the portfolio as a whole.

• Delivering your projects' CapEx spend.
• Utilising value engineering to reduce costs whilst remaining within scope.

• Ensuring visible and accessible communications are in place throughout the life of a project, such as safety charters and notifications of incidents and lessons learnt.

• Leading in a way that ensures we deliver what we promised, and that everyone in your team is motivated to deliver results in the right way.
• Fostering a collaborative environment with the supply chain, including principal contractors; suppliers of services and plant; customers; landowners; and local authorities, residents and businesses.

• You'll be an accomplished project manager with experience delivering complex, high value infrastructure projects.
• You'll also have experience in managing risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.

• Proficient business writing and communication skills.

• Proven track record in building strong, enduring and effective relationships with key stakeholders e.g. Government.
• Good Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.
• Knowledge of business processes and governance.
• Working knowledge and application of CDM.
• Proficient understanding and experience of Safety and Environmental legislation, practices and policies.
• Proficient in Contract Management (NEC).

A competitive salary between £61,000 - £72,000 - dependent on capability. This role also attracts a £4,500 market supplement which is pro rated into monthly payments throughout the year. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
