National Grid is hiring a CNI ServiceNow Engineer for our CNI Infrastructure Support team. This role is based at our Warwick office, with hybrid working (1 day per week on-site). You’ll play a key role in designing and developing secure, scalable ServiceNow solutions that support critical operations across our enterprise.
In this role, you’ll design and deliver innovative, enterprise‑grade solutions that power critical operations across the business. You’ll bring your expertise in ServiceNow architecture, development best practices, and platform governance to create scalable, high‑quality solutions. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll be at the heart of transforming how we work‑driving efficiency, reliability, and excellence.

What You’ll Do- Develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions following best practices and standards.
- Monitor platform health, usage, and compliance.
- Collaborate on upgrade strategies and implement major version upgrades and patches.
- Leverage plug‑ins and app store components for integrations and development.
- Capture business requirements in an agile way and deliver reusable workflows that drive performance.
- Validate change requests and manage platform demands.
- Set standards for Mid Server deployment and usage.
- Conduct security and performance audits with remediation.
- Expert JavaScript development skills and experience with Core Java, Web Services, and Jelly scripting.
- Strong analytical ability to turn complex business needs into smart solutions.
- Skilled at balancing business, cost, and technology priorities to deliver the best outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple projects.
- Proven relationship‑building and influencing skills with both IT and business leaders.

- Competitive Salary: circa ÂŁ55,000 - ÂŁ65,000 per annum (based on capability, and experience)

This role is offered on a full time basis. This role will require National Security Vetting (NSV) checks. We are also offering hybrid/flexible working where travel to the office will be as per business need- 1 day per week on average. Base location for this role will be NG House, Warwick.
