The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

An opportunity is available for a Craftsperson (Jointing) based in Devon to cover Exeter and Torquay.

In this role, you will undertake jointing techniques up to 66kV, including excavation, cable laying, reinstatement, and fault location on LV cables.

Candidates must have Grade A*-C/4-9 GCSEs in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level qualifications in both subjects. Evidence of qualifications will be required prior to appointment.

*Please note the successful candidate may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are completed.

Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will ideally have underground experience. Consideration will be given to applicants without all the skills at present but with the confidence and ability to reach the necessary standards with appropriate training.

If not already attained, the candidate will be required to study for the relevant City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering and complete TAR, including daily diary entries, tasks, and reports.

You must be able to work independently within a small team, make on-the-spot decisions, and work to tight deadlines. A flexible attitude is essential, as you may be required to undertake other duties to meet team objectives. You will need to be mobile across the area, potentially undertaking standby duties.

Operationally, you should live within approximately 30 minutes of either the Exeter or Torquay depot, with frequent travel across both locations expected.
