National Grid is hiring an Apprenticeship Compliance Specialist on a part time basis (3 days a week) within the Development Programmes team, reporting to the Funding & Compliance Manager.
This role will work collaboratively with the wider Technical Training team and our leaders within the business to ensure that our apprenticeship strategy is realised, with a focus on quality of learning, DEI and business critical capabilities.

Our training centre is based in Eakring so although we are flexible on location you must be able to attend monthly on site meetings as well as some adhoc travel to different sites.
You must be a driver with a full UK driving licence.
What you\’ll do
- Developing and implementing new Quality and Data processes to support compliance with ESFA and Ofsted requirements
- Compiling evidence as required to future proof the provision from Ofsted and ESFA audit
- Ensuring the teams requirements for the Ofsted 48 hour plan and initial presentations are ready for use at all times
- Creating and carrying out auditing and sampling to monitor the provisions internal quality
- Maintaining own knowledge and understanding of changes to the apprenticeship environment such as ESFA funding rules or Ofsted framework changes and sharing with the wider team
- Supporting the development of the provisions QIP and SAR
- Supporting the planning of wider apprenticeship team events such as Induction, graduation etc
- Supporting the onboarding of new learners
- Overseeing the CPD strategy and its application across the team
- Ensuring the apprenticeship process document tracker and associated processes are regularly reviewed and monitored for quality
What you\’ll need
- A passion and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of learners
- Experience of working within an apprenticeship environment is essential
- Be self-motivated, flexible and resilient, with excellent organisational skills with proven ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressured environment
- Hold a strong background in quality assurance practices or compliance
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and to take a flexible, professional approach
- Preferably will have experience of working directly with students or young people.
- Has a thorough understanding of the Ofsted EIF and ESFA audit framework
What you\’ll get
A competitive salary between £48,374 – £57,012 per annum (pro rata)- dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
