About The Role
Strategic Infrastructure delivers major strategic UK electricity transmission projects, focused on connecting more clean, low‑carbon power to England and Wales. You’ll be part of our core Power System engineering team that identifies the need and determines the electrical requirements for critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Identify and justify electrical requirements for transmission infrastructure projects.
- Support multi‑million‑pound infrastructure projects, ensuring security of supply and network robustness.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on network planning and new technology integration.
- Perform detailed power quality analysis, network modelling, and system access tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Power System Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
- Full valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel for site visits and training.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Graduate Programme
18‑month graduate programme with tailored development pathway, 121 coaching, mentorship, IET membership access and chartership support. Three 6‑month placements across the UK deepen technical expertise and broaden business knowledge. Assessment centres will be held between November and April 2026. Only one applicant per recruitment cycle is accepted.

- Starting salary £36,640
- £2,000 bonus once joined and started on programme
