National Grid is hiring a Senior Project Controls Analyst to be part of the exciting Project Controls Team within the Construction Directorate where you'll be shaping the Future of IFA Programme, a £300m investment to maintain the life of our French Interconnector IFA to 2050. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the implementation of effective project controls and processes, adhering to project governance, and supporting the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to scope. We offer flexible hybrid working arrangements. We’d hope to see you on site at Sellindge, Kent one or 2 days a week, and there also may be some adhoc travel to different sites. Please note, you must have a full UK driving licence be able to travel for Sellindge weekly and also to other sites as and when required.

What you'll do

  • Project Control Delivery – Ensure that project schedules, costs, risks, changes and documentation management are understood and managed across the programme.
  • Process Implementation – Develop and implement procedures and processes to enable the application of the project control framework across the portfolio.
  • Change Management – Lead the change control process to maintain the project baseline.
  • Project Delivery Governance – Support with the adherence to governance structures and processes to track and monitor project decision points and assurance reviews.
  • Reporting - Support with the collation of data for the timely and accurate reporting of progress and performance of projects to leadership and other key stakeholders in line with the agreed reporting cycle.
  • Process Improvement – Continually identify and implement improvements across the Project Controls disciplines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Engage with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience of working in a Project Controls environment with excellent Project/Programme Management skills.
  • Strong relationship skills combined with a good track record of delivering change.
  • Good knowledge of project management disciplines across phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting a team of people.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and accurate written communication skills.
  • Experience in engaging and managing stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £48,000 - £60,000 per annum – dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
