What you’ll be doing

  • Commercial Support: Partner with Project Managers to manage and administer all contractual relationships.
  • Contract Management: Oversee multiple contracts within a defined portfolio, ensuring compliance and value.
  • Financial Management: Track spend, forecast costs, and ensure alignment with contract terms and governance.
  • Risk Management: Drive the risk management process and maintain the Risk Register alongside the PM.
  • Tender Evaluation: Support tender evaluation and negotiation, providing expert advice throughout.
  • Dispute Resolution: Lead efforts to resolve disputes, offering professional guidance and solutions.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor other Quantity Surveyors and Junior Quantity Surveyors, sharing your knowledge and experience.

About You

You’re a confident communicator, a natural problem-solver, and a trusted advisor. You bring a blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership skills, and you’re passionate about delivering quality outcomes.

Key Requirements & Experience

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (BSc).
  • Experience in construction, ideally within utilities or large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3 & NEC4 engineering and construction contract in particular option A, C & E.
  • Leadership abilities with a track record of managing contracts and mentoring others.

Desirable:

  • Chartered Member of RICS (MRICS).
  • Experience working under NEC4 two-stage (x22 Early contractor involvement) procurement processes, including stage 1 design development and stage 2 target-price setting, is desirable.
  • Experience using contract management tool fastdraft.
