About The Role
As a People Advisor, you’ll work closely with managers and employees across Corporate Functions, offering confident, practical support on all People matters. You’ll manage ER casework, contribute to the delivery of the Corporate Functions people plan, and help to deliver our core talent and performance cycles.
- Provide day‑to‑day HR advice on policies, procedures and people queries
- Give confident, practical guidance on ER matters, including absence, performance, conduct and wellbeing, helping managers feel supported and ensuring cases progress fairly and efficiently
- Produce people metrics and scorecards, analysing data and insights to identify key themes and inform decisions (e.g. MS Excel, PowerBI, SuccessFactors)
- Work with the People Partner and Senior People Lead to deliver the Central Functions people plan, and contribute to key priorities such as L&D, DEI, EVP, culture and reward
- Support the annual talent and performance cycle, including succession planning, talent reviews and end of year processes, ensuring that managers have the right data and insights
- Build strong working relationships with local Trade Union representatives, and support local TU Forums where required
- Work collaboratively with Centres of Expertise to deliver a joined‑up, consistent People service
About You
You’re a HR generalist with experience managing ER cases, who thrives in a varied, fast‑paced environment and enjoys being a trusted partner to managers and employees. You’re driven by creating a positive employee experience and are looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to grow toward future People Partner roles.
- Solid HR advisory experience, including confidentiality handling ER cases
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships quickly
- The ability to interpret people data, spot trends and translate insights into action
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively
- A collaborative, solutions‑focused mindset and a willingness to get involved in a wide mix of generalist activity
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it), and a commitment to ongoing professional development
