The predicted salary is between 55500 - 65500 £ per year.

£55,500 to £65,500 + up to 6% bonus. An additional role‑specific allowance of £3,000, paid in monthly instalments.

Working pattern: Hybrid (on‑site minimum 3 days a week). Travel: Occasional (to other operational sites across the region). Location requirement: Based within a commutable distance of the Peterborough site. Some flexibility for home working may be available, where appropriate.

About the role: Join the East Region team, supporting a critical part of the gas transmission network including key compressor stations and the Bacton Gas Terminal. This role is focused on bringing structure and clarity to complex engineering projects. You’ll lead on building and managing fully logic‑linked programmes to keep delivery on track. Ideal for a hands‑on P6 planner who enjoys managing multiple programmes and working closely with delivery teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and manage Primavera P6 project programmes (logic‑linked, critical path, cost‑loaded).
  • Review and challenge contractor schedules.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and QS teams to track delivery.
  • Provide clear programme reporting and progress tracking.
  • Carry out schedule risk and opportunity analysis.
  • Support management of risks, issues, and programme compliance.

About you: You’ll be a confident planner who enjoys getting into the detail, challenging where needed, and keeping multiple projects moving forward.

Key requirements & experience:

  • Essential:
  • Strong hands‑on Primavera P6 experience.
  • Proven planning & scheduling background in engineering/construction.
  • Experience building logic‑linked programmes and analysing contractor plans.
  • Solid understanding of risk, resource, and programme management.
  • Clear communicator, able to influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates initiative to seek out and integrate information from various sources to create well‑structured programmes.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Desirable:
  • P6, APM, PRINCE2 or similar qualifications.
  • NEC4 or similar contract experience.
  • Experience across PMO, resource/capacity or cost planning.
