ÂŁ53,500 to ÂŁ62,500 plus up to 6% bonus, overtime, and company car.
Based in the East region, with Peterborough as the central hub. As this role covers the East region of the UK, we’re looking for someone who is based within this area. You’ll need to travel to our central hub in Peterborough and other operational sites across the East region, a minimum of 3 days a week. The other days you’ll have the flexibility to work from home. Locations include: Cambridge, Chelmsford, Hatton (Lincolnshire), Huntingdon, and Peterborough.

About the role:
As a Project Manager within our delivery team, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure projects across a range of mechanical disciplines. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle – from design and procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover – ensuring alignment with business goals, budgets, and safety standards. What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering complex construction and utilities projects from start to finish.
- Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout.
- Acting as the key link between operations and delivery teams.
- Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Administering NEC3/4 contracts and ensuring commercial performance.
- Supporting commissioning and ensuring assets are operational and compliant.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting on project progress, risk, and financial performance.
- Promoting safety leadership and continuous improvement.
About you:
You’ll be a confident and proactive project manager with experience in the construction and/or engineering industry. You’ll work well under pressure, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively across teams. You’ll be hands‑on, detail‑focused, and know how to bring people together. You’ll also know how to plan resources, manage time, identify issues before they become problems, be commercially aware, safety‑focused, and driven to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
Key requirements & experience:
- Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a mechanical engineering or project management discipline, with significant relevant experience.
- Proven project management experience.
- Strong engineering and asset management background.
- Strong experience and knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and commercial management.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Relevant professional certification in project management (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMP).
- Experience managing infrastructure projects – desirable.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification – desirable.
- Full UK car driving licence.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
