About the Role:

We are seeking a Project Director to join our team at St Fergus. This senior leadership role requires a broad strategic mindset, strong technical expertise, and excellent project management and delivery skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects, possess a chartership alongside a relevant degree in engineering or project management, and demonstrate strong leadership and industry experience.

What We\’re Looking For:

As our Project Director, you will oversee all aspects of our major programme, from planning and contract award to execution. You will lead the development and execution of projects, define the delivery strategy, and establish and manage key stakeholder relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Coordinating and delivering major programmes at St Fergus.
2. Providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery in alignment with overall business objectives.
3. Defining and implementing an appropriate programme delivery environment, including people, organisation, process, information management, and technology.
4. Assembling a diverse project team with the right skills, experience, and technical competency.
5. Working with the economic regulator to secure appropriate allowances.
6. Improving performance from the regulatory baseline by optimizing resources and evaluating activities, systems, and methodologies.
7. Ensuring efficient governance to support project activities and gaining organisational support.
8. Acting as the public face of the project to external stakeholders.
9. Leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, governance, risk, stakeholder management, and programme compliance standards.
10. Overseeing the development and maintenance of documentation, including plans, reports, registers, and lessons learned.
11. Creating and nurturing a high-performing and inclusive team environment.
12. Promoting quality in all works and ensuring effective risk management strategies.
13. Conveying and connecting the wider business strategy to the programme team and promoting associated initiatives.
14. Building and maintaining internal and external relationships to foster growth and increase networks.
15. Providing thought leadership and expertise in project management and execution.
