About The Role
- Manage day‑to‑day engineering and operational support for gas generators, power turbines, gas compressors, and their ancillary systems across the East region.
- Support troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of complex rotating machinery issues.
- Oversee fleet management activities including OEM service bulletins, oil sampling, borescope inspections, engine logbooks, and spares support.
- Act as the first point of contact for rotating machinery operations support, collaborating with OEMs and ISPs.
- Work closely with site teams and central engineering to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality maintenance interventions.
- Lead investigations into equipment failures and reliability issues, recommending long‑term improvements.
- Support condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and performance trending.
- Lead and provide technical support for compressor overhauls and major rotating machinery projects.
- Contribute to outage planning, dry gas seal replacements, and major engine inspection scopes.
- Provide technical assurance and ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the rotating machinery discipline.
About You

Key Requirements & Experience
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering
- Strong technical knowledge and experience with gas turbines and/or gas compressors, ideally in the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Process industry
- Proven experience in heavy‑duty rotating machinery
- Familiarity with Siemens SGT400/SGT750, Solar Titan 130, Siemens A20 & A35 (Rolls‑Royce Avon / RB211) or similar OEM machines
- Solid understanding of maintenance, reliability, and performance monitoring principles
- Experience supporting live operational sites and outage execution
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, vibration data, and OEM guidance
- Capable of writing or supporting technical scopes for rotating machinery overhauls
- Full UK car driving licence
