As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll provide contractual expertise for construction projects across the UK's National Transmission System. From control system upgrades and asset decommissioning to new builds and the transition to hydrogen, your work will be pivotal to ensuring the flow of gas and the future of clean energy.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead a portfolio of contracts and guide a team of junior Quantity Surveyors to excellence.
- Manage complex contracts while simplifying challenges to drive progress.
- Work nationally, combining home-based work with travel to sites or offices as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager, providing expertise and delivering measurable outcomes.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
Key Experience
- Proven experience with NEC Contracts (A, C & E).
- Expertise in risk management, cash flow forecasting, and supply chain management.
- Strong commercial acumen and reporting system knowledge.
- Contract management, payment applications, early warning notices and compensation events.
- Oversee procurement activities, including tender evaluations and negotiations.
- Experience across both pre- and post-contract stages.
- Knowledge of the gas transmission system.
- A full UK driving license.
- Flexibility to support projects across other regions when required.
