We’re looking for a proactive Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects across the Scotland North region. Based from St Fergus, Livingston or Glasgow, you’ll manage projects throughout their full lifecycle—ensuring they meet required safety, environmental, technical and financial standards. You’ll work closely with Project Engineers, Design Coordinators, Supervisors, contractors and internal stakeholders to shape effective solutions, drive performance and support delivery against RIIO‑2 commitments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on stakeholder collaboration, and wants to contribute to nationally significant energy infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of a project portfolio through engineering, design and site-based teams.
  • Manage projects from requirements and design through development, delivery and closure—meeting time, cost and specification targets.
  • Build effective relationships with Investment teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression and identify innovative approaches.
  • Ensure strong safety, health and environmental performance, fulfilling Process Safety (FPSA) and CDM responsibilities.
  • Maintain compliance with the ND500 governance process and the wider value chain.
  • Influence detailed designs to ensure whole-life value, buildability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage contract strategies, monitoring contractor performance via KPIs.
  • Support team capability through coaching and sharing best practice.
  • Oversee cost data, project review meetings and project governance throughout the lifecycle.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Leadership & Interpersonal: Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. Confidence leading devolved or cross‑functional groups. Ability to champion and maintain a positive safety culture.
  • Technical & Professional: Experience in planning, designing or delivering projects on high‑pressure gas transmission assets (e.g., pipelines, AGIs, compressor stations). Solid understanding of relevant legislation, safety frameworks and company procedures. Strong commercial and financial awareness, including experience with NEC4 contracts, forecasting, budgeting and cost control. Proven ability to prioritise, schedule and manage multiple projects.

Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Degree‑level education leading toward Chartered status.
  • Recognised Safety, Health or Environmental Management qualifications.
