About the role

The Document Controller provides essential support to project, engineering, and operational teams by ensuring the effective management, control, and coordination of documentation across all project phases. The role exists to maintain a reliable document control environment, ensuring that all project information is accurate, compliant, traceable, and easily accessible. This supports safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of works within the Operations division.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Document and Information Management
    • Maintain an organised, accurate, and secure document management system for project and operational documentation.
    • Ensure all documents including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are correctly classified, stored, and indexed for easy retrieval.
    • Maintain up to date registers of all controlled documents, ensuring traceability across revisions and approvals.
  • Distribution, Tracking, and Compliance
    • Manage the timely distribution of documentation to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring correct versions are issued.
    • Track and monitor document status, identifying overdue or missing information and escalating where required.
    • Ensure compliance with internal standards, external regulations, and document control procedures, carrying out regular quality reviews.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Act as a central point of contact for document control queries, engaging with project teams, contractors, and subject matter experts.
    • Communicate document control expectations and assist in driving consistent application of processes across teams.
