About the role

Join a fast-paced operational environment where accurate planning makes a real impact. You’ll coordinate schedules, balance workloads, and provide clear reporting to keep projects on track. Working closely with operational and project teams, you’ll help ensure the right resources are in the right place at the right time.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain planning systems, ensuring schedules and data remain accurate and up to date.
  • Compile weekly reports using Excel, providing clear insights on programme performance.
  • Use scheduling tools to align workload with available resources across operational teams.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure plans reflect operational priorities.
  • Identify and elevate risks or gaps in resource allocation.
  • Provide weekly programme updates, including RAG status, and share insights with project and wider NGS team.

About you

You’re organized, proactive, and confident working with data and stakeholders. You communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and stay focused on delivering accurate, high-quality planning outputs. You enjoy working collaboratively and supporting team success while managing your own workload effectively.

Key requirements & experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a planning, scheduling, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data handling and reporting).
  • Working knowledge of planning tools such as MS Project.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proactive approach to supporting colleagues and resolving challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project in a project or operational environment.
  • Familiarity with resource planning.
