About The Role
This role will lead in the design and development of data visualisation for the region, leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for collecting, analysing, and visualising data to provide actionable insights that enhance regional performance. A key aspect of this role will be the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports using tools such as PowerBI, enabling stakeholders to understand complex datasets in a clear and intuitive manner.
What You’ll be Doing
- Data analysis & insight generation – gather, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to provide meaningful insights for operational and strategic decision-making
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover key business opportunities and risks
- Data visualisation & reporting – develop, maintain and optimise interactive dashboards and reports using PowerBI and other data visualisation tools
- Present complex data in a user-friendly and visually compelling manner to support regional delivery managers and stakeholders
- Ensure dashboards are tailored to different user needs, from high-level summaries to detailed operational views
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance
- Support forecasting and predictive modelling efforts to enhance business planning
- Process improvement & automation – identify opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting processes through automation
- Support the implementation of data governance best practices to ensure consistency and reliability
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data infrastructure and integration
- Develop and produce outage performance reporting for the area, working closely with SO on a daily basis to understand movements

You’ll bring:
- Solid experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development — especially using PowerBI.
- Strong SQL skills and a knack for working with large datasets to uncover trends and insights.
- The ability to communicate technical information in a way that makes sense to everyone, from frontline teams to senior stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and a drive to deliver high-quality work.
It’s great if you also have experience with financial modelling, planning processes, or regulatory frameworks like RIIO — but above all, you’re someone who’s motivated by impact, collaboration, and making data work for people.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Key Requirements And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field like computer science, business analytics, etc.
- Strong experience in data analysis, reporting and visualisation.
- Expert in PowerBI for building dynamic dashboards and reports.
- SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good relationship, communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and results orientated.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritise and organise.
Technical or Specialist
- Degree in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business analytics or another related field.
- Analytical mind – ability to work with large sets of data.
- Highly numerate, literate, and analytical.
- Experience in using financial models (in excel or other).
- Knowledge of the Planning Processes across all work types.
- Knowledge and understanding of the RIIO regulatory deal.
