As an Investment Portfolio Analyst, you’ll play a key part in helping our Asset & Engineering teams make smarter, evidence‑based investment decisions.
By collecting, validating, and analysing data, you’ll provide trusted insights that support operational performance, long‑term planning, and strategic direction across our portfolio.
- What you'll be doing
- Collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from multiple sources to ensure quality and consistency.
- Analysing investment portfolios and performance data to uncover trends and actionable insights.
- Monitoring data quality, identifying anomalies, and advising on improvements.
- Producing clear, engaging reports, dashboards, and visualisations that help colleagues make informed decisions.
- Maintaining documentation for datasets, tools, and processes.
- Supporting senior analysts with deep‑dive analysis, variance and trend analysis, and reconciliation work.
- Identifying opportunities to improve tools, processes, and ways of working within a continuous improvement framework.
- Collaborating with internal strategy, planning, cost and investment teams to keep portfolios aligned with business priorities.

- Key requirements & experience
- Experience of supporting process improvement and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, helping to identify efficiencies, documenting and improve business processes, and contribute to the delivery of operational improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills (Macros, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, validation checks etc)
- Hands‑on experience working with data and carrying out insightful analysis
- Logical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels
- A strong interest in data and analytics with the ability to interpret information and produce clear insights
- Experience with analytics tools such as Power BI
- Knowledge of decision‑support tools such as Copperleaf or AIM
