This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll take full ownership of project delivery, leading teams of around 20 professionals and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll operate across multiple sites, working with both internal and external stakeholders, while playing a key role in shaping continuous improvement across project delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of major projects to scope, time, cost, and quality targets
  • Managing and developing multidisciplinary teams including Project Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, and Planners
  • Providing visible safety, health, environmental and sustainability (SHES) leadership across project sites
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders (finance, procurement, operations) and external partners (contractors, designers, regulators) to ensure smooth delivery
  • Overseeing project governance, risk, and financial performance, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Managing contracts under NEC frameworks (Options A, C & E) and ensuring strong commercial control
  • Leading geographically dispersed teams and overcoming delivery challenges, removing blockers and driving progress
  • Continuously improving processes and ways of working to enhance project outcomes

About you

You’re a confident and capable leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects and leading high-performing teams in complex environments.

Key Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience delivering multi-million-pound projects within construction, utilities, or engineering environments
  • Strong leadership experience, managing large and geographically dispersed teams
  • Excellent project management capability across risk, cost, schedule, and quality
  • Solid understanding of contract management (NEC) and commercial controls
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and SHES requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
  • Experience across EC&I, Mechanical or Civil disciplines
  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH / NEBOSH)
  • Experience in project financial management and forecasting

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of high-value, strategically important projects while developing your leadership career in a complex, fast-paced environment. You’ll have the autonomy to lead, the scale to make an impact, and the opportunity to grow into more senior programme leadership roles.
