About National Fostering Group
With over 20 years of experience, National Fostering Group is the largest independent children's fostering group in the UK with a community of over 2,500 foster carers. We work with Local Authorities to provide the highest quality of care for children and young people. All of our fostering agencies are officially recognised by Ofsted, Welsh and Scottish regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’.
We also offer a 4 day working week - this means 80% of the hours for 100% pay! This will be given following a successful 6 month probationary period and is a performance based benefit.
About the Role
We are looking for a Carer Recruitment Officer to help grow our family of foster carers. You will:
- Source and encourage enquiries through local engagement
- Undertake initial visits in the homes of our applicants
- Accurately record applicant information on our database
- Raise awareness of fostering across local communities
- Maintain contact with potential foster carers from enquiry to approval
- Support the initial training and assessment process undertaken by your social work colleagues
- Manage the database of potential carers
- Keep colleagues and management updated with relevant information and weekly reporting
Who are we looking for?
Evidence in providing great customer experience/service or having worked in recruitment would be an advantage. More important are strong communication skills, and a friendly and flexible approach which will be beneficial in enabling you to build rapport with members of the public, current and potential foster carers. You must be proficient in basic excel database management and diary management, as well as demonstrating excellent spoken and written communication. Experience in marketing or working with databases would also support your application.
