Our office base is Crawley, West Sussex and you will be required to attend the office for meetings and workshops and will also travel and work in the community.
Responsibilities
- Support foster carers in their care of children.
- Direct work with children and young people.
- Organise events for foster carers and children on a regular basis.
- Respond flexibly and quickly to support foster carers with the challenges faced by children and young people.
- Support children and young people participating in the Duke of Edinburgh programme.
- Work closely and cooperatively with colleagues, maintain professional communication with children, young people and foster carers.
- Continuously extend your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and creative.
- Good communication skills.
- Professional approach to working with children, young people and foster carers.
- Openness to learning and genuine desire to fulfil the responsibilities of the support worker role.
- IT literate.
- Full driving licence and own transport.
