Overview

Senior Manager, Events role at the National Football League (NFL). The NFL is hiring a UK-based Senior Manager, Events to oversee and manage the UK events team across EMEA. The primary focus is on international games (currently UK, Germany, Spain and Ireland). The candidate will build event strategies, operational plans and execute fan experiences and year-round activities, ensuring best-in-class delivery that meets business, commercial, marketing and local market objectives.

Location: London, United Kingdom (EMEA focus). This role requires in-person office presence; remote/hybrid working is not offered. No relocation assistance will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the UK events team across EMEA with a focus on international games and fan experiences.
  • Develop event strategies and operational plans; execute gameday fan experiences, Kickoff events, local market activations, NFL club activations, community initiatives, partner integration and lead development.
  • Plan and deliver a range of events during game weeks and year-round activities to support local offices and key business initiatives.
  • Manage budgets for fan events; track, report and communicate budgets; identify risks and opportunities; ensure alignment with event strategy and League procurement practices.
  • Agency management: lead relationships with event agencies across EMEA, oversee budgets, drive robust RFP processes and onboarding of vendors.
  • Team management: develop and coordinate cross-organizational working groups across EMEA and the US; support cross-functional events and external partnerships (e.g., city/host authorities, local organizing committees, government bodies, stadium and team partners).

Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in the events industry.
  • 4 years of management experience.
  • Extensive experience planning and delivering large- and small-scale fan events across EMEA; strong operational delivery experience in sport and fan/public events.
  • Ability to manage budgets up to £2 million; experience with building budgets in line with event strategy and league procurement practices.
  • Experience managing multiple partners and agencies; outstanding stakeholder management; strong sports marketing knowledge to drive attendance and engagement; commercially astute with revenue-generation opportunities.
  • Ideally, understanding of American Football.

  • Willingness to travel within EMEA and the US; ability to work long hours and weekends when required.
