Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is on the lookout for dedicated individuals to join our team as Wholetime Firefighters – people who are driven by a passion to protect others and uphold our core values and behaviours of being professional, positive and honest in everything we do.
Being a firefighter is about saving lives, protecting communities, and preventing disasters before they even happen. Yes, you’ll respond to emergencies, but your role goes beyond the sirens. You’ll be at the heart of prevention and education, working with local communities and businesses to fulfil our purpose of ‘Safer People, Safer Places’. Every day brings a fresh challenge and a new opportunity to make a difference.
We have a total of 20 fire and rescue stations – six of which are permanently crewed by full-time firefighters, eight of which are crewed jointly by both full-time and On-Call firefighters and a further six, which are crewed solely on an On-Call basis.
