The predicted salary is between 28800 - 35200 £ per year.
An opportunity has arisen within our Governance, Projects and Collaboration section for an Authority Governance Officer based at Central Headquarters, Sheffield, with agile working including home working, fire stations and other sites as required.
The overall purpose of the role will be to support the efficient and effective delivery of South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Authority governance and administration arrangements, including other internal and external governance arrangements as appropriate.
To be considered for this role you will have previous experience of providing governance and administration support. You must possess an awareness of how fire and rescue services are managed and have knowledge about South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue's governance model and processes.
The key duties will include:
- Working closely with the Legal and Monitoring Officer to plan out all the Fire and Rescue Authority meetings
- Booking and organising the meetings
- Providing meeting support
- Creating meeting packs, minutes and relevant documentation
- Supporting the co-ordination of annual reports and assessments
