The predicted salary is between 20000 - 35000 Β£ per year.

We are looking for a Driving Instructor to join our busy Training and Development team which is normally located at Rhyl Fire Station. You will provide an efficient driver training provision for the Service, ensuring that all training and learning conforms to the Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislative requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include the administration of the following courses:

  • Light vehicle assessment
  • Large goods vehicle assessment
  • Large goods vehicle driver training
  • Emergency response driver training initial (ERDTi)
  • Emergency Response Driver Training Refresher (ERDTr)
  • Familiarisation driving courses on new vehicles and specialist role vehicles i.e. FLT, Hook Lift, Turntable ladder etc.
  • Off road driving – Specialist off road vehicles over rough terrain
  • Trailer towing instruction, familiarisation and revalidation
  • CPD

You will require a full UK driving licence, Category β€˜C’ licence (with no 78 restriction), Category β€˜C’ LGV Driving Instructor with 3 years’ minimum experience of driving LGV and 2 years as an instructor. Basic Welsh language skills are required for this role, but if you’re not already proficient, we’ll provide the necessary training to help you achieve Level 2 proficiency by the end of your 12-month probation period. Additionally, a standard DBS check is required for this position.
