Location: Maidstone Fire Station

Salary: WM – £44,038 – £48,025 per annum

Hours: 42 hours per week (Monday – Friday, day duty)

Eligibility:

  • Substantive whole time/on-call Watch Managers requesting a sideway move, OR Whole time/on-call Crew Managers ready for promotion
  • Must not be in a current informal or formal disciplinary process or have a live sanction in place.
  • Must meet the essential criteria in the job description / personal specification (download from intranet).
  • Internal candidates must have an up-to-date Fire Pro record within Moodle, including the relevant SECAmb and Building Safety modules, and a minimum of 20 recorded command hours.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the RIT Lead with the creation, communication, sharing, and cascading of Site‑Specific Risk Information.
  • Support and develop the RAV INT operational risk‑based intervention programme (RBIP) of premises across Kent and Medway.
  • Share KFRS SSRI with cross‑border fire and rescue services and provide cross‑border information to operational colleagues as required.
  • Provide training and support to current and new users of the Dynamics platform where required.
  • Manage SSRI into a format that colleagues can access, understand, and interpret to make informed operational decisions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience of organising and delivering station training events.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Dynamics Risk Management platform.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences and produce good quality SSRI for operational crews.
  • Experience working effectively with internal and external partners and building positive relationships.
