Petroleum and Primary Authority Business Group Team Leader - London Fire Brigade
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen to join the London Fire Brigade's Prevention and Protection department leading a of specialist staff with diverse roles including fire safety for London's petroleum sites alongside management of our primary authority relationships and business engagement.
Your work will contribute to making London safer by shaping and improving the LFBs business engagement, building strategic partnerships, and identifying emerging risks. The role has three main areas of responsibility: Primary authority partnerships, business engagement and petroleum. You will be responsible for promoting safety standards in accordance with key legislation including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014.
You will work closely with colleagues, to support strategies that align with our Community Risk Management Plan and Mayoral objectives. You will manage the team and identify training and development needs while upholding our equality and safety policies.
What We are Looking For
We need a people manager with knowledge of fire safety legislation and experience of developing and managing partnerships. While ideally, you would have some knowledge of primary authority partnerships and petroleum it is recognised this is a specialised area and as such this knowledge can be developed in post.
You will need the ability to communicate important information clearly to various audiences. Team leadership experience is also highly desirable. You should also hold a minimum of a Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety (or be actively working towards a Level 4 Diploma). Salary: Salary range: £46,941 - £56,071 per annum
