The Learner Experience Administrator plays a key role in supporting the end-to-end learner journey at the Fire Service College. Working under the guidance of the Learner Experience Team Leader, the postholder will assist in the enrolment, registration, and induction of learners, ensuring they are fully prepared prior to arrival. The role includes managing learner communications, supporting special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) adjustments, and acting as a point of contact during their time on site. Post-course, the administrator will help learners complete submissions and portfolios, while maintaining safeguarding responsibilities throughout the learner journey.
What you’ll be doing
- Support learners through the full end-to-end journey, including enrolment, registration, induction, and post-course guidance to ensure timely completion and certification.
- Register learners with awarding bodies, check required pre-course work, and communicate all essential course information, including logistics and SEND adjustments.
- Act as the main point of contact on site—welcoming learners, answering queries, and coordinating with Sales, Training Delivery, and Academic Services.
- Maintain accurate learner records, including interactions, progress, safeguarding concerns, and service history.
- Provide ongoing support for submissions and portfolio completion after the course, ensuring learners stay on track.
- Promote a positive, professional experience by supporting continuous improvement activity and collaborating across internal teams.
What we’re looking for
- IT competency in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience as an Administrator or in a customer-facing role.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge or experience of working in a learning/training environment.
