Your focus will be on high-quality, people-centred interventions that support our ambition to build a high-performing, inclusive culture across Essex County Fire and Rescue Service (ECFRS). You’ll act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, offering insight, challenge and direction on all aspects of the people agenda. It’s a role where you can make a real impact, helping us shape how we lead, work and support our people across the Service.

Reporting to the Head of People Partnering, you’ll join a small team of Lead People Partners, each with responsibility for their own small team. What are we looking for?

The fire and rescue sector is evolving, and at Essex County Fire and Rescue Service we’re proud to be part of that change. Over the last decade, we’ve made real progress in shaping a more inclusive, supportive and forward-looking culture. While there’s always more to do, we’re committed and equipped with strong strategies to continue that journey. We’re looking for someone with a fresh perspective: pragmatic, curious and confident in challenging established thinking where it helps us move forward.

In this role, you’ll support our leaders to shape a confident, people-focused organisation by developing inclusive leadership, building capability and encouraging autonomy. It’s a busy and complex time, particularly around employee relations, but also an exciting opportunity to influence real cultural and organisational progress grounded in trust, development and high performance.
