The predicted salary is between 49914 - 55426 € per year.
Location: Service Headquarters, Tovil, Maidstone, ME15 6XB – Hybrid working with minimum 3 days per week in the office (hybrid working, but may be required to travel occasionally within the county)
Hours: Full Time – 37 Hours per Week
Pension: Automatic membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme – career average pension scheme with 16.5% employer contribution
Holidays: In addition to bank/public holidays you will receive 31 days holiday.
Base Salary: Grade 8 – £49,914 – £55,426
Qualifications: Qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA) Part-qualified with a commitment to completing the qualification. Fully qualified Accounting Technician with demonstrable experience in a similar role.

Being a Project and Technical Accountant: As a Project and Technical Accountant, you’ll work with a variety of people across Kent Fire and Rescue Service, building trusted relationships and using technical accounting skills to support projects, advise stakeholders, and help the organisation achieve its objectives through robust financial insight.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with people across the organisation and with external partners.
- Build trusted relationships to support decision‑making beyond the finance team.
- Provide expert financial and accounting input across a wide range of activities.
- Contribute to complex or non‑routine work where technical knowledge is essential.
- Be an integral part of the finance team, helping ensure accuracy, compliance and sound financial management.
