Fire Engineer LLRAP Team β London Fire Brigade
Are you a qualified Fire Engineer looking to play a key role in improving building safety and driving remediation in high-risk residential buildings?
We are seeking two Fire Engineers to provide specialist technical expertise within our Local London Remediation Accelerated Plan (LLRAP) team. You will review and interpret PAS 9980 assessments, FRAEWs, Fire strategies and other fire engineering evidence, helping to ensure that fire risks are properly assessed and addressed through proportionate, risk-based remediation strategies.
In this role, you will advise on risk prioritisation, challenge inadequate remediation proposals, support enforcement activity through the provision of technical evidence, and work closely with fire safety and protection teams to improve outcomes for residents. You may also contribute to technical guidance, provide professional advice on fire engineering matters, and support the development of best practice across the team.
Applicants should hold or be working towards a degree in Fire Engineering, have experience of applying fire engineering principles to the built environment, and possess a strong understanding of fire safety legislation, building construction and fire-engineered solutions. Registration, or active progression towards registration, with the UK Engineering Council is desirable.
