ICT System Manager β Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service
An exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking ICT Team and help shape the systems that support a modern Blue Light Service.
Working alongside our experienced System Management Team you will help ensure that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) have the right systems in place to deliver quality services that enable our Service to deliver for our communities.
You will take ownership of a portfolio of related ICT Systems, helping to ensure they remain secure, effective and aligned to organisational and user requirements. You will be responsible for making sure our systems are correctly procured, and Supplier Contracts are well managed. Working with our users and suppliers you will ensure they are resilient, meet our required Service Levels and delivery value for money.
As part of the wider ICT team, you will be working with Service Colleagues to resolve issues and deliver change. You will ensure user guides and procedures are correct and up to date, and that staff are suitably trained in the operation of our Systems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to key System delivery projects within the Service

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate strong transferable skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to develop into the role. Experience supporting, administering, developing or managing ICT systems and services would be beneficial, as would exposure to areas such as system administration, procurement and contract management, user training, change management, system configuration, incident management and problem management.

If you are invited to interview, you will be assessed against the NFCC Leadership Framework. The highest level relevant to the role is detailed in the person specification, and you may be required to demonstrate competence at any level up to and including that. The interview will include both behavioural and roleβspecific questions to assess your suitability for the position. You will also be asked a question exploring your understanding of, and commitment to, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace.
