In support of the National Resilience (NR) New Dimensions 2 (ND2) project, a talented Category Manager is sought to deliver a range of new assets. You’ll be responsible for procuring a portfolio of operational equipment to deliver an extensive asset refresh. You will be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision and oversight from senior colleagues. You will be keen to continue to hone your judgement and professional/technical skills, taking pride in your work. You will be encouraged and supported in your professional development.

Candidates will already possess a CIPS qualification whilst being accredited in transforming public procurement is desirable. Similarly, having previous experience of procurement for fire service or blue light applications is also desirable, but not essential.

The role is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028. The role is based at Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle, L30 4YD. Further information about the roles can be found in the associated job profiles and person specifications.
