Asset Systems Officer – Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service
Grade: D
Salary: £31,537 – £33,143 per annum (rising by annual increments to £33,143). More information on salaries and progression can be found on our pay and policies page.
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week
Location: Dorchester Support Offices, Poundbury – There will be a requirement to attend your centre of duty and various fire stations and service premises as required for key activities and meetings. When you are not working from your centre of duty location there will be the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices, and we will welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you.

As an Asset Systems Officer in our Assets department you will:
- Develop and maintain the Asset Management System to ensure it is capable of demonstrating the Service is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations and the asset is achieving value for money
- Develop and deliver training in the use of the Asset Management System to all users as required
- Act as contract manager for the Asset Management Systems. This will include system development, problem solving, supplier performance and budgets
What makes you our ideal Asset Systems Officer?
- NVQ 3 or equivalent vocational qualification in a related subject area
- Experience of extracting data from and interrogating databases
- Proven experience of working with statistical collection and collation of data
- Proficient in the following software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and use of the internet
- Ability to design, develop and deliver training
