Purpose of the role & how you will contribute: You'll play a key role in strengthening the NFU's voice across the poultry sector, supporting both meat and egg producers. You'll lead on specialist policy areas, provide expert briefings, and drive effective lobbying strategies to champion members' interests. Working closely with the National Poultry Board, regional teams and industry partners, you'll guide policy development, share insight, and enhance the NFU's profile through strong representation, communication and member engagement.

What you'll bring: You'll bring deep knowledge of the UK poultry industry, supported by degree-level education or equivalent experience in agriculture, policy, or a related field. With a strong understanding of supply chains, legislation and key sector challenges, you'll have proven experience in policy development, advocacy and stakeholder engagement. You'll be an excellent communicator, skilled at turning complex information into clear, engaging messages. A proactive, organised team player, you'll confidently build relationships, influence at all levels, manage varied workloads, and represent the NFU professionally. A full driving licence and flexibility to travel are essential.
