We have increased our rates of pay for Technicians in Wigston, where you can expect to join us on £24.84 per hour working Days and £27.76 working Nights.
National Express Transport Solutions have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Leicester as a Vehicle Technician.
As a Vehicle Technician you will assist in the effective repair, servicing, diagnosis and inspection of our PCV vehicles. With a desire for continuous improvement you will work along side other technicians, to carry out fleet maintenance, to ensure our vehicles are roadworthy, safe and reliable.
We have both Day Shifts, working 4 days on 4 days off and Night Shifts, working Sunday to Thursday available.
What you’ll do …
- Undertake mechanical, electrical and minor body repairs, and where required, carry out vehicle road tests on completion of repairs
- Diagnose and investigate faults on vehicles, where required using specialist diagnostic equipment, to carry out effective, appropriate, sustainable repairs
- Inspect vehicles to company standards and identify, accurately record and rectify defects as appropriate
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained in line with company standards, progressing any modifications, technical instructions or urgent safety checks as required
- Deliver ‘on the job’ coaching and training to team members less skilled to aid in the development of the teams overall capability
What you will need…
- IMI Level 3 Bus and Coach Engineering & Maintenance or Equivalent (including Heavy Vehicles).
- Both IRTEC Vehicle Inspection and Service Maintenance Technician
- Proven experience of working in a large vehicle maintenance environment
- A Full CAT D PCV licence or willingness to work towards
