We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established food manufacturer, for the position of Quality Assurance Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced production environment where quality, safety, and compliance are at the heart of operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining food safety, legality, and product quality by carrying out routine assessments of equipment, products, and the production environment. Working closely with the QA and Production teams, you\’ll help ensure compliance with internal technical systems and external regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and log samples for testing in line with set schedules
- Perform hygiene swabs and ingredient/packaging checks
- Conduct quality and calibration checks on weighing and measuring equipment
- Maintain accurate records for traceability and audit readiness
- Assist in managing factory consumables (e.g., plasters, pens) and confirming detection compatibility
- Run taste panels, including cooking samples and full documentation of feedback
- Support complaint reduction initiatives and continuous quality improvements
- Take part in traceability exercises and internal audit preparation
- Ensure start-up audits, glass and hard plastic registers are kept current
- Collaborate cross-functionally to uphold quality and compliance standards

Requirements
Essential:
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification (or higher)
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Prior experience in a similar QA role
