The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.
National Express are looking to recruit a Vehicle Allocator, based at our Acocks Green Garage on a part time basis. The successful candidate will complete the allocation of correct buses to running boards prior to public service. This is a 26.5 hour per week position (average) with the below shift patterns:
- Week 1: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Midnight - 08:00am.
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Midnight - 08:00am.
What you'll do:
- Full knowledge of vehicle types held at the garage.
- Recognise the importance of 'Right bus – Right Route'.
- Communication between Operations and Engineering departments essential.
- Act as a liaison between Operations and Engineering to ensure the correct buses are allocated.
- Liaise with engineering supervisor regarding buses under repair.
- Assist in vehicle changeovers.
- Reduce Engineering and Operations lost mileage where possible.
What you'll need:
- Full PCV license - as driving on the road will be required.
- Knowledge of the bus industry an advantage.
- Good general standard of education.
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Be computer literate.
