This presents a truly exciting and dynamic opportunity for skilled PCV Engineers to join a forward-thinking team and play a crucial role in driving the business forward. As a PCV Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our modern vehicle fleet. Your responsibilities will include assisting with effective repairs, servicing, diagnoses, and inspections. Working collaboratively within a team, you will conduct thorough inspections, servicing, and general maintenance to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, safe, and reliable. At National Express, we are dedicated to continuous improvement for both our company and our employees. We currently have day shifts available on a 4 on 4 off basis at a highly competitive salary of £52500 per annum What you\’ll do: Undertake mechanical, electrical and minor body repairs, and where required, carry out vehicle road tests on completion of repairs Diagnose and investigate faults on vehicles, where required using specialist diagnostic equipment, to carry out effective, appropriate, sustainable repairs Inspect vehicles to company standards and identify, accurately record and rectify defects as appropriate Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained in line with company standards, progressing any modifications, technical instructions or urgent safety checks as required Deliver ‘on the job\’ coaching and training to team members less skilled to aid in the development of the teams overall capability What you\’ll need: IMI Level 3 Bus and Coach Engineering & Maintenance or Equivalent is ideal however proven experience can be considered IRTEC Vehicle Inspection and Service Maintenance Technician (or willingness to train towards) Extensive experience in either PCV or HGV environment A Full CAT D PCV licence (or willingness to train towards) What we offer in return for your hard work and commitment: Highly competitive salary of £52500 per annum Free Bus & Coach travel for yourself on the National Express network Complimentary coach travel for a Nominated Person or complimentary bus travel for a Spouse or Partner on the National Express network Exclusive benefits and savings from thousands of the UK\’s largest retailers and service providers Access to our award-winning Health Bus; providing free and accessible health checks Access to our Employee Assistance Programme which includes free counselling and further support to aid your health and wellbeing Private online GP service An opportunity to take part in our Cycle2Work scheme A warm invite to join the National Express Sports and Social Club We are passionate about supporting and developing our Engineering team, and providing opportunities for career progression National Express is committed to creating an inclusive workplace that reflects the diverse communities we serve and we positively encourage applications from all sectors of the community.
