We have an exciting opportunity for PCV/HGV mechanics to join the National Express Transport Solutions engineering team at our Bournemouth depot. In this role, you will carry out routine maintenance on our extensive fleet of vehicles and be involved in every aspect of PCV repair. The Bournemouth site provides a safe and supportive environment for you to thrive and grow as we build the business for the future. Join our team today!

This role operates on a 4 on, 4 off rota, from 05:00 to 17:30, including breaks.

What you’ll do:

  • Diagnose defects and carry out repairs on our fleet of modern coaches.
  • Fault diagnosis using specialist equipment relevant to our vehicles.
  • Repair vehicles to standards exceeding DVSA minimum requirements.
  • Prepare and present vehicles for the Annual DVSA test.
  • Service vehicles according to manufacturer requirements.
  • Ensure all repairs and servicing are correctly documented in accordance with company and DVSA standards.

What you will need:

Ideally, you will have experience as a PCV or HGV fitter, technician, or mechanic, and hold an NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. However, extensive industry experience and proven competence will also be considered.
