National Express is looking for a Senior FP&A Revenue Analyst who can do far more than crunch numbers. We want someone who can translate complex performance into clear actions and influence decisions that shape how millions of people travel every year. Supporting a £300m revenue Coach business, this is a highly visible role sitting at the heart of our UK and Ireland business. You will partner with pricing, sales, marketing and operations, becoming the go‑to expert for revenue, margin and commercial performance. What you’ll do:
- Own detailed revenue and route level gross margin insight across services, segments and customer channels - understanding the trade offs between price, volume, passenger mix and network utilisation.
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to support pricing, product mix and optimisation decisions with robust margin impact analysis.
- Lead performance conversations, proactively translating insight into agreed actions and measurable outcomes.
- Identify margin risks, opportunities and value levers - and ensure they are tracked through to delivery.
- Support budgets, forecasts and long‑range plans with robust, commercially grounded analysis.
- Ensure strong revenue governance, partnering with Financial Control to maintain accurate recognition, reconciliation and adherence to internal controls.
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting and modelling.
What you’ll bring:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with strong post qualification experience in FP&A or commercial finance.
- Advanced analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to turn complexity into clarity.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition in operational environments.
- Confident communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills.
- High attention to detail, strong controls mindset and advanced Excel capability.
- Curiosity, commercial instinct and the confidence to challenge constructively.
